Hi Dave, don't bother with the black wire , the switch works fine with the one wire , the black wire doesn't need to go anywhere as the switch earths through its body. The black wire is only that long on mine too, it works fine must be earthed thru the sender. Thanks that helps heaps.
WebSep 5, 2015 · The main Earth doesnt go to the ECU - its in the longest part of the main harness and actually goes to the front of the car along with the Thermo Fan Wires. and Main Power, as well as another connector which has the ABS/Traction Control Wiring. There are wiring diagrams available on FordForums, as long as youve joined. WebThese loom modifications are custom made with the removal of unnecessary wiring, extensions of the needed with labels and ECU flashing to make the conversion work. All you need to do is run the cables to where you need them and fit off the cable end to your plugs and accessories using the spreadsheet provided.
