Web23 mei 2024 · I am 58 and a 12 hr nurse 3 day a week. I average 5 miles a day . I have burning stabbing pain in my knee cap that comes and goes. It is also tender to touch. I was told i have runners knee. Im afraid if I continue to work 12 hr shifts i will cause permanent injury to my knees. I have been favoring the injured knee .
