He worked for Bess Electric, as a pipefitter in the mill, did plumbing work, commercial fishing and logging as a faller, and was the caretaker at Haywire Bay Campground. The caretaker job was a perfect fit for Albert and one he thoroughly enjoyed for 17 years.
