I suppose Ping might use a different epoxy for their adapters but the stuff they use for their irons takes a good bit of heat. I used a heat gun and the plastic ferrule came right off with the adapter and was reusable. Just pop the plastic tip off of the adapter before you apply heat. This too can be reused.
